I just received the RMS2002 for my 1967 coronet. I attached the spindle to the upper control arm and torque down the castle nut to 55ft lbs. The castle nut is well above the hole for the cotter pin to interlock into. I currently have added a washer but still am too far off. Do I need to add more washers?

I would call Bill at RMS, good guy, he will take care of it.

What size bolt and what kind of height out of the nut do you need? I saved the castle nuts from my old drum brake set up and they may just fit the bill.

Here is a photo. The boot also has no where to hold onto. Just floats.
Is it possible both spindles are worn enough to be driven higher on the ball joint shaft causing castle nut misalignment and the boot to crush??
Here we go again, lets spend alot more money i don't have.
