I have a Comp mechanical street roller cam that I am considering using in my build. My dad has a lot of AMC stuff including a box of new roller lifters. AMC same as Mopar in every way...some of his AMC lifters are actually Mopar part numbers.

So, these lifters, that he'll give me, are drilled for pushrod oiling. I'm oiling up through the stock passage in head. Will a solid pushrod seal up the oiling hole enough that there's no significant loss/problem?

Thanks as always

i'd call comp cams but i'm pretty sure there isn't any problem with running them. worse case you replace the push rod cup in the tappet. a whole lot cheaper than new tappets.

I would use the lifters and add a set of Smith Brothers pushrods for oiling thru push rods. I did this on my last few Hemi's and it works great.

Though the flat tappet lifters are the same the roller tappets are different. Link bars are completely different as are the part numbers.
