Sad day for the Roadrunner…

I am late on responding to this. Darn man that would really have set me back for a while and don't know if I could have gotten back into the grove on bringing the car back as soon as you have. You're doing grate work and see you did not give up the ship. Good luck and hope you're driving it soon.

Paul, it is coming along nicely.

The amount of progress, and the high quality of the build in such a short time is inspirational. Got me thinking that I got to get my butt in gear on my projects.

Well I’ve got more than a few all nighters in this build. I’ve been trying to keep this from sitting in my backyard for too long especially before winter hits. It’s no show car by any means but it’ll be a great driver. Heck it already was before it caught on fire. Hoping to get it down the road here in the next month or two.

A little custom touch I did here with the radiator support. It was all bent and flimsy before so made this brace out of some sheet metal and welded it in. For the dies I drilled a hole, put a socket under neath it and stuck an old spindle on top of it and pressed it together and made perfect dimple dies.

Well I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated it his thread. Work has had me tied up lately, but I’ve been throwing some miles on the ol girl lately. Now that winter is here I’m working on getting the heater box to work this weekend. But most importantly, I have the meep meep horn installed.

Also had to pull the trans and re seal seal it because his about every seal was shot. It didn’t leak until after I started driving it again… of course. But it’s back in and the car is running great.

I would like to add to also store paint reducers, thinners, etc. away from your vehicles. Any flammable liquids.

I know this is an old thread I just ran across it
especially if you have a gas or propane water heater or garage heaters
with any open flame/pilot light

my biggest fear is fire up here, not necessarily from my car
but surrounding property forests

I disconnect my cars battery when not in use, old racecar habit
Battery chargers & Optima Yellow Top deep Cycle Battery 003.JPG

too the OP
my condolences

I also have a 100amp fuse in line up by the starter,
you can trip it & reset it, forget the brand name I will look & maybe take a shot of it too
the org. Amp gauge wiring is constant voltage in these cars too

I will read on, just on page 2
