50% acetone and 50% ATF. Works like a charm.

Coke should do the trick. Of just melt the pistons and dissolve the rust with hydrochloric/muratic acid... the fumes are nasty though.
Block I'm taking to have hot tanked, magnafluxed, and, polish crank (if its worth it) and measure everything to determine if block is good. Likely will need new crank, but, this is indeed Blue Oval country, so, finding these parts ain't going to be an issue!
Its a non-MOPAR, but, still interesting! Here's the 289 from one of the Mustangs I bought. This motor is pretty bad, got lots of water in it, going to be fun trying to free these pistons! View attachment 89966
