What's the best way to do seems?

The factory spot welded them together and then used sealer.

When I mate stuff up to be welded should I try and emulate what they did or just weld the seam and then seal.

On the other car this is what I did but I am wondering if I should do the spot welds instead?

You weld the car together solid it will ride down the road like a buck board. You want a little bit of flex in it.

The factory uses resistance spot-welding, something you're not able to do. Plug-weld with a MIG. In some areas, you can consider adhesive, either Fusor or 3M. Being old-school, I never used the glue until a few years ago, but it's great.

Thank you, I was thinking the flex was needed but really wasn't sure
