Seriously??

My go-to calculator for many years was an HP 15C. I liked the reverse logic (example--2-enter 2+ gave 4). The other thing I miss is the tactile feel of the buttons. A proper feel that doesn't require looking at the screen.
It went through the washing machine one day and after drying it out it came back to life to successfully pass a self-diagnosis test but became a fast battery eater.

Excellent machine! Bought mine in '87 but hardly ever used these days. Seems to be working fine. Then too, I haven't sent it through the wash............ yet!

The simple way through this is:
He bought 2 horses for a total of $140
He sold two horses for a total of $160

I almost got kicked out of school for bringing a Texas Instruments desktop calculator to school...in 1975. We were told not to bring them because we had to learn it in our heads.

I had to same thing over here , 1976 . we were not suppose to bring the time ( last) to school at all
Ahhhhh remember the old slide ruler?

Bought at 60 sold at 90 and lost 10 along the way stuck 20 in his pocket.
What he owes the IRS will depend on expenses. You can always show a loss some how.

Our son is fortunate that he is a math genius and never really had to count on gadgets to get it done. He says that he literally can see the solution both in his head and in the air in front of him. He follows along with the teacher as she writes on the blackboard and solves it as she's writing it. Must be true as he's now 25 and a physicist. I'm fortunate in that I never had to help him with his homework!

I was gonna say you guys who claim to have had LCD display calculators either paid big bucks or maybe are "remembering" a bit too early. LED was the thing until the very very late 70's.

Gallagher, the sledge-o-matic master had his apple computer.............

No matter how you look at it he still doesn't have a horse and has to walk to the bar.

An Apple a day keeps the doctor away. Now, how many days could Gallagher avoid the doctor if he ate the apples on his computer ?
8,......9,...........10.........ah..........ah...........ah....... Dammit, .......................I ran out of fingers:(

8,......9,...........10.........ah..........ah...........ah....... Dammit, .......................I ran out of fingers:(
Well, you're smarter than Gallagher. After he ate all his apples, he looked at his abacus and his answer was "zero".:D
