Okay fellas, I did a search but came up empty.

What services have any of you used to ship a complete engine ? PA to AR, carb to pan. I tried Fastenal, but their insurance threshold was too low.

I'm trying to stick with a dedicated shipper rather than the old " Is anybody going to Arkansas that could transport...." routine.

Thanks

Fastenal

edit. I see you already tried there.

I’ve used R&L to ship an engine from Ohio to California. 5 years ago. It cost me just under 500

I agree used R&L years ago- sent a 273 complete hemi engine and trans to California from NY. Worked out fine.

Alright, I tried R&L and came away with a quote of $1200

Holy fuuuuuk when I did it it was $400

Build pallet overkill!! Those trailers have no suspension.

At that price they really don't want to do it.

Pallet, old tire, engine, strapped down, wrap with plastic - a lot.
Get on www.uship.com, have a look around. Find reasonable shipping.
