Short read. Looks like they're really after us !

I can completely understand the comparison between cars and guns. I don't agree but I know why lawyers try to sue gun manufacturers. For the money. I always wondered why lawyers don't sue car companies when a car is made to go, let's say 10 mph over 75 mph. Please understand, I'm not on the side of the lawyers. It just seems like they would sue using the same logic.

they are stupid, the article is completely bias

D) definition of stupid -knowing the difference & still believing lies-.jpg

At the risk of derailing the thread....no, they won't. Why? Because there's not the "horror and guilt" factor that's associated with a mass-school-shooting. The "gun control" crowd plays on heart strings of irrational, nosy activists who don't like guns to begin with, and they use dead kids as an excuse to try and grab all the guns out of the hands of law abiding people.

They want to remove the PLCAA (https://duckduckgo.com/?q=plcaa&ia=web) so they would be able to sue gun manufacturers when there is a shooting tragedy. Right now, it is illegal to sue, say, Remington Arms if one of their firearms is used in a shooting. But they want to remove those protections so they can bog down the firearms industry with legal fees. It's an end-run alternative to outright cancelling the Second Amendment. If they can bankrupt the industry, then 2A becomes moot.

What this would open the door to is more frivolous lawsuits, such as suing Stellantis when one of their cars is used by a drunk driver, and it kills someone. Same idea.

Lawyers would have to testify against themselves since most own a car and usually high end ones that are high powered. And what if they are painted that evil black color?
And most if not all people have used cars in an illegal manner.

I agree completely. I used it as an illustration of how stupid it is to try and repeal the PLCAA in order to sue firearms manufacturers.

As a former corporate attorney, my personal experience backs this up.

As always, we're only going to see news articles that advance the leftist agenda in the
MSM, gentlemen. Nothing new under the sun here - and logic has nothing to do with it.

Sacramento is making enemies -- and criminals?!?! -- out of auto enthusiasts now!

These lists are ridiculous, including a ban on air compressors and torque wrenches.

See what happens when you sit on your *** and don't object?

The telephone exchange for state reps is

202-224-3121

Enter your zip code first and then choose the rep.

I suggest putting it in your speed dial and calling all of them in your district EVERY TIME you think about an encroachment on your freedom, including this one. California precedents are often adopted nationwide.

Consider running for local office or your School Board.

Real change -- filling seats with real Americans with great ideas who will put #AmericaFirst and return our country to its ideals -- begins on the grass roots level.

We need to invoke the power of our numbers NOW ... before we have to explain to our grandkids what happened to America.
