Well my 20+ years as a bracket racer and my buddies with small blocks proved this statement. Disagree if will.

indy used to advertise something like 475 for an all alum wedge. I think getting a wedge below 550 with an iron block might be a challenge.

I weighed the truck empty and loaded with the tank full, before and after, at the local farm cooperative-certified scales.
