Driving along a 100 kph road, about five cars behind me, but gaining on a group ahead. Being held up by a one ton camper van. Turned left on to a North South road with a 90 kph limit. camper van doing about 87. Entered left hand lane to pass. Was going to do that at the red light ahead, but it turned green. Alongside the camper van after the light, coming to a long up hill. Doing 90 to pass. He had been doing 87, but now 90, and then 95. So I knew he put his foot on it. Big blocks are usually in those one ton camper vans, but they have more weight and frontal area than my B200 camper van.
So I did 95, and then he went to 100. At 105 the new carb was making large sucking sounds, but we passed the big tank and pulled away. He can now tell his friends he got smoked by an old Dodge camper van. We never saw him again.
This was our first head to head run against another camper van since the engine mods.
