I need some help with my sniper system. I am currently using an msd 8545 pro billet distributor on a 400 block with stealth heads. I had to clearance the corner of the valve cover a small amount to get the msd distributor to work. I am currently not using timing control but would like to change it to timing control.
Holley recommends replacing the msd with the Hyperspark. I know I could use my old msd but would need an adjustable rotor and an old cap for phasing. Holley recommended the Hall effect sensor route.
I know the dual sync is also an option but I wouldn’t be using the cam sensor option. I think the height of the dual sync is similar to the msd 8545.
Has anyone used the Holley dual sync or Hyper spark on B block with stealth heads? Will any of these work or will I have to clearance the heads? Not sure if one will work better then the other.
Using the Holley would obviously make it easier to setup over the Msd.
Any feedback or picks would be great.
Thanks
