Some Info on New Charger

All of the 60's production cars had a period when few wanted them and they were left to rot in fields and junkyards.

IMO the "techno" surface treatment of C7, 8, and Camaro 6 was a horrible mistake.
The "transformers" styling cue. GM been wearing that out for years now....

I don't care what it looks like. I don't care how fast it is. I certainly don't give a crap about it's carbon footprint. I don't care how much it costs. I don't care because... I will never buy one ! simple ! I'll drive my classic Mopars and my modern muscle Mopars, thank you.

FORD is losing $34,000 on every electric vehicle that it sells.
No problem....they will make it up in volume....
This is NOT sustainable. These losses cannot be offset enough by any profits they generate from the their remaining gas and diesel vehicle sales. It is a losing proposition. If you raise prices to close the gap, buyers will go elsewhere and you'll have fewer units sold.
It reminds me of those BS tobacco taxes to fund stop smoking programs. You're looking to generate revenue from a diminishing source. Do these idiots ever study economics? I didn't but I have common sense, something that no college education can match.
$34,000.
There is so much wrong with this whole EV push. There is no defense. If it were based on market forces and not by Government mandate, it would crash and burn. When have we seen such a level of governmental overreach in our lives? (Other than the obvious instances with Covid) I'm 57 and I can't recall ever seeing such a radical departure from status quo. THIS is life changing and not enough is being done to resist it all.

Nixon seizing everyone's gold, although that was before my time. Waco, Ruby Ridge. Not making excuses, but electric cars are just another notch on the belt.

Nah, the feds burning down a private citizen is terrible but not the same as standing in the way of free market business and mandating a radical change. The mandate to buy health insurance was a big one though.
The Covid lockdowns and vaccine mandates must have emboldened them by seeing the weak suck citizens that laid down and obeyed.

Where did you her that?

80's and 90's cars are coming on strong. I grew up in the 80's and I love many of the cars of that time period. Even FWD 2.2 K cars.

Although this is British, it does equate to what's going on at BAT with the sale of some rather mundane cars.....

Ford’s CEO was on Fox News Friday morning, and acknowledged a 2.1 Billion dollar lost on EV Trucks. He attributed the lost to investing in a new plant build. A Fox Business article appears to back up KD post about a 2023 lost of 3 Billion. I believe to feds are funding part of the conversion to EVs.

Taking away sound money (gold) and putting the world on the petrodollar was a bigger deal than the EV push is, but we can't really discuss this here. I'm of the opinion that the matter is being quietly taken care of though. All these big tech layoffs and companies going broke because of the ideology push, was not supposed to happen. Elon sure wasn't supposed to get control of Twitter.

What's BAT?

I've seen guys here chasing down 80's Shelby cars due to the rise in 60's and 70's muscle car prices, and finding the 80's cars had climbed as well.

Clearly I'm not through my first cup of coffee yet . . .

All your **examples** ... Sure sounds like communism to me !

Let's call it like it is:
The "health mandate" was straight up unconstitutional.
It took a corrupt Chief Justice, amongst other things, to get that one passed - but you are correct. It was HUGE
in the way of a precedent.
The Constitution, our foundation of law as a nation, does not empower any branch of government to order the
citizens to purchase anything - but there it was, plain as day.
Fortunately, chunks of that turd got dismembered in years to follow...

The "stick", by way of comparison, was never a blanket mandate to all citizens.
However, I again agree with you - I was thoroughly disheartened when I saw seemingly everyone just "go home"
like sheep when ordered, without questioning or protest, when the kung flu occurred.
That event sticks in my mind to this day as pivotal - the day the country made its' final turning of its' back on the
founding principals on which it was founded, grew to the best in the world, became the worlds' safe haven.

Again, correct - and that's as good a description of free market capitalism vs. socialist dogma as any, right there.
Make no mistake, this country became in historically short order the "shining city on the hill" for the rest of the world
because our economy, our law, is based on the free market principle - meaning the ultimate freedom of the people
themselves.
Separates us from the other critters on the planet, you know. Makes this place where they all want to come to, not
run away from....

The base of this concept rings true, time and again, throughout history:
Government mandates fail - because ultimately, corruption and influence can be bought by nefarious forces - not to mention,
NO the government doesn't always "know what's best for us". Most of time, actually - they don't.
Federal government office holders live in a different world than you and I, after all - and have no clue what's actually going
on out in the real world, so how can they dictate what we all should do?

Market forces (in a free market system) dictate - meaning the people decide, mostly with their pocketbooks.
As it should be.
What this country was built on...

Any details like the use of carbon fiber (e.g., for the roof panel), reinforced plastic body panels, or aluminum body/frame structure? How about curb weights for the EV and ICE Charger configurations?

Reverting back to a two door Charger means there will not be a new Challenger model to replace the current one?

No, no plans announced for a challenger.
As far as construction, I'll have to defer you to what the company disseminates out on the internet. I know electric is 1k heavier pretty much across the board so we can get the high range claims.
