Son is a New Army 2LT - Proud Dad

This weekend, my son completed his four year journey at West Point. It was an amazing experience. It is hard to believe how fast the last four years have flown by. He took his oath of commissioning on Saturday. He joins the Army as an Engineer officer. He will spend about nine months at Fort Leonardwood, MO, for his Basic Officer Leadership Course and Sapper school. Then he will likely head to his first duty station next spring. He will be assigned to the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team of the 1st Cavalry Division. It is hard to describe the pride I feel for my son making this commitment to serve.
