Space X test launch sending Elon Musks Tesla Roadster into space!

So there is some confusion, the test flight will be in an elliptical orbit around the sun that will go out to the same distance as Mars orbits, it is not going to Mars, however, the test flight is the first step in potentially using it to launch stuff for an actual Mars mission.

The Space X site you posted states that Falcon Heavy is the most powerful "operational" rocket, so most likely that is why Saturn V isn't mentioned.

Saw one of the Saturn V nozzles at the Smithsonian. They're 12 ft 4 inches in diameter each.

And the owner donated his own car!
Something like $0.72 cents of every $1.00 dollar in that car
"that he so called he donated"
came from hardworking taxpayers {even Calif. state taxpayers} too,
subsidies, nothing is free...

Don't get me wrong it's cool what they are doing,
but it's not all on their own...

I seen it from Orlando yesterday! I was walking up to the main building at my work and seen people looking at the sky. I'm hoping the Aerospace business starts to go crazy now and makes some more jobs here.
