starting a 440 out of the car

I should say , On the other hand.
if you feel like you can afford a professionally built test/run stand , or you will be testing many engines over your life , I would get the professionally built unit.

Also……if you don’t feel comfortable with doing it this way , by all means …do not.

i just bought a 440 and trans together.
it has headers and is on my garage floor.
any tips on starting this thing on my floor?

I did this last year on my 68 440 GTX build. I built a K frame mount on casters. Put everything together trany and all. Hooked up the Radiator , worked great. 25 minute new cam break in. Watch gauges close and get 2 people to help you monitor. Good luck.
