steel gauge of reproduction parts?

How close is the gauge of steel in the production metal compared to the original?
I'm referring to repo fenders, quarters and so forth.

The AMD stuff seems to be the thickest reproduction steel out there, but still isn't as thick as the original metal.
 
I used pieces from Shermans and they were just as thick as the original sheet metal.
