Bare wheels are not hard to ship. I just go down to Discount Tire and look for some boxes. Most are for 17" and larger but not always and one time they gave me some new boxes. Also, sometimes they will break down the old tires if you take them with you. If you do ship them, just tape the crap out of the boxes and put a shipping address on the wheels too just in case they get loose.
