I noticed on my steering column, 69 Super Bee, a misalignment it looks like. On the turn signal side, the gap is very very small. On the gear selector side, the gap is massive. I think this might be the issue causing the horn to beep when I turn right. I’ve loosened everything and trying to get it realigned, but nothing seems to be working.

Any thoughts of the misalignment? Car still shifts fine and turn signals work, except for the beeping.

I adjusted the transmission swivel linkage, but if I messed that up, could that pull the steering column lever out of alignment and cause this?

That could cause a problem. Looks like one of your hold down fasteners is not gripping.

Have you had it apart?

That’s perfect!!! Tightened the one I could get to and that closed the gap!

thanks so much!
