Steering Coupler Assembly

Need help with the assembly of my steering coupler on a 1966 Charger. Do the springs and shoes fit like in my photo or do I need to change their orientation?

Looks right to me. The 66 and older were odd balls. As I recall the never parts fit the old except for the shoe spring.

Test fit the shoes in the housing. On all the stuff I've done the the wider portion of the shoe goes 90 degrees to the shaft centerline.

Thanks, I looked in my 1966 factory service manual and it wasn't in it. This TBS really helps, but the shoe spring is different on a 1966. I'm not sure how the springs on a 66 fit.

Pulled this from another thread. I see the difference in shoes.. maybe show us the springs and all disassembled.
The seal appears to be installed upside down.

I finally got out to the shop and took the photos. See the two springs.
