Got a 70 collumn shift 70 RR, is there some kind of bushing that goes in the bottom of the steering collumn? Any body got any pictures ? It just looks like there should be some thing where the shaft comes out to center it. It is not loose feeling but it looks like there is some thing gone. Thanks for the help. Ronnie

It should be a plastic part with a ball bearing inside. The bearing is surprisingly hard to find through typical bearing sources but I think Year One had them made. The problem with the lower bearing is it gets rusty, but if it's not too crapped up you can carefully disassemble and clean it, pack it with grease and pop it back in. If you don't have one then check Wildcat Auto in OR or even the typical new parts sources to see if there is a repo. Wildcat is a MoPar only wrecking yard.

yes, I replaced mine and it is white with ball bearings. Got it from Jim's Auto Parts.

I think you will find the 68/69's and 70's are different.
