steering wheel lock and key stuck in ignition

I didnt try to remove the key but i did try to depress the lever but it was tight. I was going to ask about the decal also! Awesome THX

I got my key out!! When i bought the car originally i didnt even need to use the lever to get the stock key out. Im guessing the lever must of been turned already. I just left the lever down so it comes out easier. Whats the point of the lever anyways? Is it supposed to be spring activated and go back up on its own?

There is a small spring inside of the collet that makes the lever return.

lever is released once the ign switch is turned at the time the steering wheel lock is loosen... to get it back to remove the key you load the spring pressing down the lever and is hold by the ign switch cam along with the locking wheel system. The lever works with the steering wheel locking system

Hmm my steering wheel won't lock unless I turn the key all the way bsck one notch passed the lock posiiton. I think I need to adjust my key lock or the shaft is to far up. I hear tingijg in the steering wheel as i turn it. It's rubbing the pin that pops up to lock the wheel. I'm guessing when the lever is back up and key is locked then the wheel should lock also?

Locking lever system ( not the collar but the one inside ) could be wrong installed making not to work with ign switch cam

Aaaand the lock wheel lever badly installed could be making hard to spin the locking collar too. So both failures coming from same piece
