I'm looking at installing sub-frame connectors on my 69' Coronet Convertible but I'm not sure which ones are the best choice or will work on a convertible that already has torque boxes in the frame. Any advice would be appreciated.
Most subframe connectors tie in at the front frame rail/torsion bar X-member intersect and then the beginning of the rear frame rails. Don't think many would interfere with your factory torque boxes. Regardless, as most subframe manufacture's state in their directions (including US Car Tool), be sure to install them with weight on wheels, or you could end up with a sagged/sprung body with fitment and/or performance-handling issues.
US Cartools . . . Installed them on my '67 Belvedere convertible and they will attach to a car with torque boxes very nicely . . . and what a difference they make too ! !
