I'm in the process of building my 66 Coroner Deluxe, car is stripped down completely, replacing floors ,trunk pan etc no major modifications, adding frame connectors torque boxes, keeping a stock look, drive train missing when I purchased it, 66 hemi being rebuilt with the 671 blower it was raced with until 1972, hat is converted to fuel injection from the old mechanical injection, Moser or strange Dana 60 is the plan but I can't decide on transmission, been looking into silver sport 5 speed or auto, expect to dyno in the 700 hp range,not racing it just a driver...looking for opinions
 
I am an automatic fan and went with a TF and GV unit on my street car with more power than your plan.

I think you will be way happier with a built automatic and the right converter. Going manual is not cheap and there is a lot more going on. With a motor making good quick power you will be rowing gears like a mad man. For overall street use the automatic will be a whole lot easier to drive.

Yeah that makes sense,the car was an automatic originally and my other two b bodies are 4spds already
 
The '69 Hemi Road Runner that I am trying to get together had a 4-speed, I even got a scattershield for it. Then decided the hell with it, I'm getting an automatic. So it's now got a 727 reverse valve body Coan trans in it. I'm not looking back. Be happy!
