I remember growing up a Sugar Daddy was sucker.
Googled 'sucker' and it shows men taking women to fancy restaurants and theaters.
So in a sense I guess a Sugar Daddy is still a sucker.

When growing up my parents had just bought a brand new 64 Belair with the top shelf stereo option. A week after getting the car, one of my sisters left her extra large box of Sugar Daddy's on the back package tray right above the speaker grill. Needless to say a 90 degree day resulted in a fanny whoopin'. No respect for for Chevy's even back then.
