I have to say, I just watched the episodes with the 67 R/T and I have to say I really like the car. On the other hand, that car could have been built out of a run o the mill coronet. All they used was the bare shell. I know the guy said he wanted a 67 R/T, but Dave said in the show that he sourced the car. They totally could have found a coronet roller that was in just as good of shape. The only thing left on that car that said it was an R/T is the vin. Seems like a waste of a good car. At the end of the day I know it’s their money but it seems ridiculous to turn a genuine low production car into a full custom when the end result can be achieved with a lesser model.
Travis..
I liked the R/T
I didn't like the wheels at all, I like a lil' more sidewall
I hate rubber band tires, the roofline was an improvement IMHFO
(just an opinion)
the stance & width etc. was fine, I like em' low
maybe not as low as it was, but no big deal
Now the grill & lights were just OK, not really my style,
I'd have kept the hideaways, put in an electric actuator, instead
cleaned it up sharpened it up tucked the bumpers etc.
But;
IMO the build overall, was a great car...
Customer got exactly what he wanted...

even the 'Kindigit doorhandles', everyone, all the haters, all seem to hate
I'm not going to be doing mine anytime soon
on a showcar I think they're fine

I like all my cars to have pretty much stock appearing body/lines,
a lil' lower, bigger wider tires/wheels, chrome what should be chrome
not painted black
(absolutely no steel painted wheels or poverty caps 'ever')
better performance suspension,
tubular stuff (QA1) isn't a real problem, like some (hatters) claim
& ALWAYS HAVE MORE POWER/PERFORMANCE
maybe a performance hood, fiberglass is OK,
if it fits the style for the type of car
nice paint, even an OE color
if it is a nice color...
IMO like their metallic greens, esp. darker greens or turquoises/polys
(No Reds or even Yellows, just not my taste, especially in the interiors,
but some look good with it, just not for me)
otherwise do what blows your skirt up, makes you happy,
it's your $$$

that's my thoughts, it's not my car, not my money

I just comment on them or the shops ability to perform a task asked for
& if it is quality workmanship

Some people are so bias, about what someone else's 'wants or tastes'
I'm not that guy, I do like what I like...
I'm that guy, that I don't care 'what others think'
when I spend 'my $$ building a car', to my tastes...

Maybe when UNICEF starts funding my car builds
(to quote Joe Dirt, the guy in the repo/tow lot),
it may be different
