Superbird at Portland Swap Meet

I thought I would share a few pics of a Superbird that was for sale at the Portland, OR Swap Meet this weekend. No front sheet metal, no wing or brackets, looks like it had an engine fire. Bucket, console, auto, 8 3/4 car. The price was $75,000! Way too much Mecum and Barret Jackson in my opinion. Hopefully someone will save it.

I would straight out punch the seller in the face. That's just wrong to ask that much. Poor bird will never be saved at that price!

That car sold last night and was not there today asked the guy this morning. Was missing all the hard to find parts minus rear window trim. Was fairly rusty also. Had no body numbers on core support or trunk lip either. And no fender tag. But was a v code car fairly rare on that note.

It was at the Expo on Friday with a "SOLD" on the windshield. Seller also had a rusty 70 340 auto FJ5 Cuda ragtop for $45k.

Yea, there was some pretty scary rumors floating around about the missing numbers and fender tag. Hope none of it was true and whoever bought it will do it justice.

I saw that too but $75K for this bird hulk is ridiculous. I'd like to know if he got what he was asking.

Seller pricing it so dam high for what was left, kind of shocked it sold

even IF Mopar's are back on the rise again

I hate the gouger mentality, Mostly Old Parts And Rust sellers,
that think the crap is worth it's weight in gold &
but then won't pay **** for your parts, try to always lowball you etc.
I'm no price point shopper or typical cheapskate, by any stretch of the imagination....

I would never pay that, I would rather buy a restorable '70 Satellite, or RR and make a Superbird clone, for way less and not worry about driving it.

I wouldn't touch that. screams rebody, no numbers on the radiator support or trunk lip. And looks as though the window plug has been out.

Yeah that's a bit high . You can buy a all metal window plug now so with out some good solid documents I wouldn't even have talked to the seller . The buyer must have more money then sence but hey I hope it's a real deal there's a wing for sale for $2500 on here so if anyone runs into the buyer tell him you know where an org wing is for only $5000 he'll buy it .
