Sure didn't see this coming ...

I seem to remember allot of the complaining & whining about, it's too heavy & it's too pricey blah blah blah BS, also when the Daytona & the Superbirds, hell any of the Hemi cars back in the day, when they were launched originally too, hell the engine option of a Hemi back then, was nearly 1/3 of the cost of the cars...
To me it seems that it's a specialty limited production type car & not intended for the masses or lower wage buyer or even most blue collar people/buyers, "that won't generally ever buy something anywhere near these types of cars price points anyway"
& so why appeal to them...
IMHFO most/many are merely bitter, being petty or they are all just whining about it now, like normal...
Making multitudes of excuses now, for why they allegedly don't like it, or picking it apart, to help justify their reasoning/mentality, because they won't be able to afford one...
Possibly envy &/or petty jealousy maybe, or they just like Ford/Shelby Mustang or Chevy/Z28/ZL1 Camaro, or like Turbos more, instead of Superchargers/blowers...

What the f--k ever & just have to knock a Mopar like normal
{to make themselves feel smarter or better than others, that like them}
or are just bloviating on the W-W-W, like most of the naysayers do to begin with, that don't know or own either, just spouting off about something they've read on the internet, following the herd, again like normal...

IMHFO; Part of why they are releasing the information early, is to get a feel of the market
& probably some from the naysayers detractors blah blah blah whiners,
for what it should possibly be priced at, maybe also to make more commercials to stimulate
"their actual buying market" more, not trying to appeal to all the naysayers/whiners...

But it's getting allot of attention "right now" & nobody knows, what it will even sell for yet,
except maybe Chrysler/SRT, everyone else is just speculating so far...

yes, it's heavy & fat {to some}...
yes, it's got an impressive 707hp...
yes, it's going to be fast...
yes, it's going to be a little pricey, but fully loaded...
yes, it will probably be priced out of 95% of the markets price range...
yes, most won't be able to afford it, just like 90%-95%% of all the specialty cars on the market form all brands,
foreign & domestic...
yes, the Hellcat will only appeal to a very small part of the market, it's not for everyone...
just like many of it's predecessors did & will again...

$59k-$65k is about the price point it should be, from other examples on the market already today...
now whether they will do that or not, who the f--k knows, it's all speculations right now...

Read the Yahoo (youwho) liberal crap on the web. Too much HP. Baloney. If I meet my demise at the wheel of a Hellcat (can't afford one) it will be due to my goddam right foot. God Bless the USA and Ma Mopar. All hail the new King of HP.

the Hellcat will only appeal to a very small part of the market, it's not for everyone.

I disagree with this, (what a surprise) If you are not excited about the HellCat and the engineering that went into it and the fact that Chrysler has strengthened their position at the top of the auto market then I think you are just not that loyal to the brand. You may like Mopar but do you love Chrysler?

This car not only appeals to me it appeals to my 5 year old daughter! even she said "Dad when can I get one".

Thanks for the well thought out response.

Really? Hmm I would consider it much more profound and to the point of explanatory than your absurd statement it is in response to.

A picture is worth a thousand words -

The adage "A picture is worth a thousand words" refers to the notion that a complex idea can be conveyed with just a single still image. It also aptly characterizes one of the main goals of visualization, namely making it possible to absorb large amounts of data quickly. Maybe I should only do half pictures for you is that the problem? lmao

Meaning

A picture tells a story just as well as a large amount of descriptive text.

Origin

This phrase emerged in the USA in the early part of the 20th century. Its introduction is widely attributed to Frederick R. Barnard, who published a piece commending the effectiveness of graphics in advertising with the title "One look is worth a thousand words", in Printer's Ink, December 1921. Barnard claimed the phrase's source to be oriental by adding "so said a famous Japanese philosopher, and he was right".

The idea that a picture can convey what might take many words to express was voiced by a character in Ivan S. Turgenev's novel Fathers and Sons, 1862:

A similar idea was seen very widely in the USA from the early 20th century, in adverts for Doan's Backache Kidney Pills, which included a picture of a man holding his back and the text "Every picture tells a story"

So all that said:

Got word from a souce that the DODGE emblem is gone from the tail end and replaced with SRT.

SRT is its own division now as is RAM trucks are not dodge trucks. There are still going to be dodge challengers, but they will be the 6 cylinder and 5.7 hemi engine cars.

SRT division is dead after this year...they are rolling it back into Chrysler Group

cherry picken my thread, out of context

I never said, "I don't like it" quite the contrary, :icon_fU:
I'm putting a spin/context on another haters comments... :icon_fU:
