Tail light LEDs, red or white?

I'm wanting to switch out my tail lamps to LED and I see there is red and white...For my '68 Satellite with the original (old and slightly faded) lenses...Who's using these and how do they look? Even though regular bulbs are white it seems I read somewhere that the white LED makes them look kind of pinkish when lit..thanks!

yes, white can make a faded lenz look pinkish. go with red, plenty bright enough to not worry about the double color thing.

I had to use Warm White in my car due to the inner tail light of the 69/70 Charger. The Warm white is more like a standard bulb in color.

I ordered these plasma LED in red for my 68 coronet. Holy cow what a difference ! So much so that several of my buddies have switched their cars over too .... I highly recommend ..

I used red Brite Lite brand, with an electronic flasher. They work great

Yes, very ! A friend on mine was behind me at a light after I swapped bulbs, he said my brake lamps were just as bright as the new Cadillac that was next to me. Plus I noticed my instrument panel lamps were actually a bit brighter with the incandescent 1157's out of the circuit. After that I ordered the rest of my exterior lamps ( minus headlamps) from superbrightleds.com, I am satisfied. Now I know for sure I'll be seen at night ! Here are pictures of my side marker and reverse lamps ....

The old 1157's or whatever they are do a better job filling the entire housing. Softer glow. LED's didn't work for the 69 Coronet R/T. Don't have before/after pics handy.
