Tail panel

I have a question for you guys. The tail panel on my satellite has the silver painted trim. I have seen them in red was this an option? If you use reflective vinyl it would follow the new cars. which I like the looks of at night. Didn't the GTX have plastic lenses on them?

The 68 GTX panel is a pot metal piece that is chromed, painted with silver texture paint with reflective tape.

Different trunk lids and quarter panel end caps between 1968 & 1969.

1969 GTX...

1970 was a completely different body style.....

Here's mine. The argent paint on it is actually original paint that the fellow who did it for me had left over from back then, although it appears too light a shade:

|Bob (RIP, my friend) did a simply amazing job of spending dozens of hours filling in all the pock marks in the pot metal casting, refinishing it all. That's one of those repro decal kits for the red reflective inserts.

I actually prefer the looks of your panel as is for the Satellite. i was never a fan of the GTX panel with the red.
