Tell me your experiences with Evaporust

I've used it to clean the contacts on power window switches . A non working switch that isn't damaged works like brand new afterwards... just remember to cycle the switch while its soaking, and rinse the switch in isopropyl alcohol...

I’ve removed rust using evaporust and molasses. Evaporust removed it in 24 hours and molasses took weeks.

Yes, the molasses mixture works great if you plan ahead and have the time. And evapo-rust is available at harbor freight.
I separated the substructure from my hood and soaked it in the molasses mixture for about 2 weeks and here's the result. All the surface rust is gone . Leaving only the paint.

Hey they can't carry it. It's not made in China.
Sure as **** they do have it. More expensive than I found on Ebay but they do have it.

Home depot sells a simular product called Metal restore for $25 per gallon off the shelf or you can order online 5 gallons of Evapo rust for $75.

Evaporust isn't the only product that works good. Any of them that have phosphoric acid in them will do the job.

Evapo rust also makes a block and radiator flush. It is the best thing I have found short of a acid boil tank. It is sold in qts.

I bought mine on Amazon. I bought 2 five gallon pails. Most stores only sell the smaller bottles.
