Circle Star sounds familiar
I'm not sure If I went there or not ?
I lived in the East Bay Concord my younger years
from 1959-97 a few years spent working in
Oregon Idaho Kansas Alaska
I went to most of the live venues in the Bay Area
from the early 70's on, back then 1 time or other
before SF (Oakland) turned into a shithole/literally
I did a demolition job in SF right buy to the ALCOA building
I was like 25-ish, damn 'I'm having a brainfart'
(The Fillmore ? Geary Blvd, maybe parking structure under it)
I can't remember for sure, the name of the place,
sort of small place
all indoor small stage etc.,
the acoustic in there were/was crazy
anyway;
we got all kind of goodies out of there, was left behind
it was right by ol' Punch Line (IIRC) comedy store/bar
been almost 35-40 years
radio stuff from KFRC, bands like Three Dog Night , Eddie Money,
Jefferson Airplane, Cream, Creedence, Janis Joplin, Jimmi Hendricks,
Doors, Blue Ouster Cult, Nazareth, Iron Maden, lots of them...
Lots of memorabilia stuff/swag/garb lots of others lil' stuff like
engraved zippo lighters, spitoons, hat pins, banners,
beer glasses, event poster & pens with promo **** on them
old new tee-shirts, 100's new albums unopened,
signed napkins & photos in frames
all kinds of stuff
stuff is written on all the walls, the desk in the offices etc.
one of my guys/a carpenter kept a couple of the seats
another guy/an electrician kept a couple of bricks from a divider wall
that had IIRC, Janis Joplin & Jim Morrison signature on it
I don't have any of it anymore, moved 3 times since
carry on nothing to see here, just figured I'd share
