I don't think I have ever seen the issue. Is it under the front of the handle (not the button end)?

It indentions all around both of the mounting of the handle you only see it at a certain glare in the light kinda like when you’re looking for waves in your body work where the straight object changes as you eye f… it up and down. Most people don’t even notice it. I think it’s the contour of the handle not curved like the door is .I don't think I have ever seen the issue. Thank you! Ive never heard of this but ill do it!Piece of paper right in the package, at least from Mega Parts, to put a bonder / filler between the plate and door and let it set up before tightening the handle. I just grab what ever is handy, in this case some JB plastic bonder as it dries quickly.

I do the same.Trained the wife (and myself) to NEVER have the door handle in your hand when closing the door! The added mass of an arm is what acts like a slide hammer weight when closing the door hence denting or even cracking the outer skin. A gentle push on the belt line of the door will suffice when closing the door.
