The first "Gone in 60 Seconds" movie?

One interesting fact that I heard...in the scene where the cars crash into the car dealership, A bunch of cars for demolition were staged in front of the dealership to be wrecked in the scene. However, those cars along with a bunch of new cars on the lot ended up getting wrecked. Not sure if that was one of the "unauthorized" scenes and if the dealership was ever made good on their loss.

I heard that he did not have permits for most of the chase scenes. I guess thats why most were single takes! The lamp post scene was really an accident...not planned at all.

One of my favorite car movies is mad mad mad mad world. Lots of 62 mopars (I've got a 62 mopar). As a matter of fact, there's not a single car in that movie I'd throw off my driveway.
