Oh Man. This is my GF exactly. An excellent woman but just about no sense of direction at all.

That is common with women though, even smart ones.
My mother though....she wasn't college educated but was a damned smart one in terms of common sense. You could blindfold the woman and drive her to an unfamiliar area and still find her way home, Dad said so.

I worked for an IBM computer repair subsidiary for a while.

You could have parts helicoptered in same day for some accounts, as many as you wanted.

But if you wanted the service manual-

You had to mail a request in, and eventually they would mail you the manual.
