I know it's a joke, but the English weren't the first to discover the Caribbean Islands, and this style came into fashion 250-300 years later.
In reality, the natives likely wondered why the Italian and Spaniards were overdressed. :)

Yes, I’m aware, I’m a bit of a history nerd. That does bring up an interesting thought, what would be more terrifying to natives. Puffy weird pant dress things, and fluffy collard shirts. Or clown faces with wigs and bad teeth (yes the traditional stereotype of British, even though nobody brushed their teeth then)

IDK about that swivel.

...and that chain looks a little tight.

necessity

I've done it with clothes hangers.

NOT pretty.

Better to let it charge than try to crank from the other car's batt.
Unless you like melted hangers.

Better to simply swap batteries.
Easier to do back then, but sometimes not an option.

I like the switch battery trick, but probably shouldn’t be done on newer cars.
I think I read something in a Toyota manual about not disconnecting battery with engine running.
That was right after a brand new denso alternator died in my charger, I think because I turned off my kill switch, but it ran on alternator power.

I did it with two pieces of 12 wire for one of my guys once. After that, always carried cables.
