Has hit the Left Coast like a freight train. These are from yesterday's accumulation. More of the next wave that hit at 3:00pm yesterday and it is still snowing at 9:16 am today. Gotta love it I guess. Normally we don't get dumped upon like this very often...cr8crshr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:

I'd love to give that a try for a weekend, but after that....I'll take my happy a$$ back to Florida!!!!

You can have it. The older I get,the more I hate it.

We are behind in snowfall this year. Normally around this time of year we have about a foot or more on the ground.
That can change quickly though we can still get dumped on over the next couple of months.
But it's finally getting cold which is a good thing it keeps the balance of nature in tact insects, plants etc...

Looks great, at your place... We got a little bit, and mostly gone now, just in the mountains.

We are too and so is that God forsaken state next door that's constantly on fire in summer, the western states need this moisture badly! Yeah, it's a pain to deal with at times. Got a foot on Tues. dug out yesterday, got another foot last night, and looking at 3-5" today. BTW, it's already melting and should all be gone in about a week, that I can deal with lots better then looking and dealing with this crap hanging around till Spring.

That's normal for me in NW PA. RUFFCUT
I grew up in it so I am somewhat used to it. Unlike Midwest snow falls, the snow in the West has a better visual aspect to it so it is easier on the eyes. Got a 4X4 truck so I can pretty much drive in it also. I moved to Reno NV knowing that it does happen as I needed to get out of that neighbor State next door. It doesn't happen often but when it does, we get hammered. And it starts to melt right away and doesn't stick around very long. We need the H2O here in the West so this is a much needed occurrence...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

At 72 years young I most definitely can agree with you. You are back there in the Midwest where I also grew up. Winters back there are totally different than out here in the West so there isn't a comparison. It doesn't last very long as it starts to melt right away. We need a good dump out here and boy did we get it. More to come I am sure...cr8crshr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:

Meh....dusting by Vermont standards...although this winter is a very mild one compared to most around here.

Currently at 36* and lightly snowing all day, it's melting faster than it's accumulating! I can dig that!

I miss what we used to get when I lived in Co Springs. Houston area is lucky to get sleet.
I saw on the news this morning that Mammoth Mnt got 3'...I think the most I ever saw in 24 hrs was when I lived around Atlanta around 90-91, I think it was 2' in 24-48hrs. Talk about jacking a place up!

The best thing about snow is how quiet it usually is when there is a lot of it. I love it when you don't hear all the usual sounds. But you guys can have every bit of it.

That was the 1993 Blizzard.. It was bad. 6 foot snow drifts up in North Georgia.

I have heard of White Electric. There were several companies around but I worked for Cochran Brothers Electric out of Gainesville, Georgia about that time. Started puffing a little snow and I was in Snellville, Nesbit Elementary School that day. I was like guys its supposed to be bad and I have a 2wd Rx7... I'm leaving around 2 so I won't get caught out in it. Best decision I ever made lol.

I spent time on the Ga Dome, FCS, worked on quite a few radio towers around the area, Morris Brown. Really enjoyed it when I was there.
Came to Atl to see if we wanted to move from Houston, we were downtown at a restaurant eating when they gave the verdict on the cops in LA for Rod King came across the tv....and all he'll broke loose.

We had a few inches but gone the next day. Never live again in a snow prone area. Weather is getting a little weird aint it. NOT
