The Surrogate Mother!

Making progress, slowly but surely Dave. About three years ago when I installed the lifts in my garage, I installed four eye bolts in the foundation walls lined up with the lifts,so I could use them to pull cars in and out of the garage with them. Today I used my come along and a couple of chains to move this 71 Charger off the lift, raise the lift up,and pulled the car back into the garage,so I can put the Hemi engine and transmission into the car. Once this is done, I will winch the car out and pull it back up onto the lift. I am almost ready to install the Hemi now. I am trying to take advantage of every decent weather day to try to make it happen!

Hope you're using one of the 'good' come-a-longs. Thought I was going to destroy a thumb using a cheap one. Chain falls and ratchet handle come-a-longs ever since!
I took it one step further and made brackets for my hoist and mounted a winch for pulling non-running vehicles up the driveway and up onto the hoist also.

Same here....but just sold my SuperWinch X2 about a week ago. That sucker was bought in the late 70's and used a lot but never left it on the trailer out in the weather. Mounted it on a 2" tongue and welded a receiver on the trailer.
Come on Pete put the beer down and get some work done!
Thinking about having another and got lots done today!

I had a real good come a long that I used for years, after it broke all I can find is Chinese junk ones.

I went to my friend's shop last night and got to check out a freshly painted snake skin green 70 Cuda. There was also a freshly painted 72 Road Runner GTX 4 speed car, but I can't post the pictures of that one yet because the owner has not seen it yet.

I went to the machine shop yesterday to check on the progress of the other Hemi engine, so far no progress as of yet. I dropped it of in November on black Friday. I am hoping that he gets started on it soon.

Since it is so damn cold out,I have started doing the seats for my friends 69 Daytona Charger clone. At least I can get something done while I'm waiting for the weather to break, so I can get back to work on the Bee.

With 18 to 24 inches of snow predicted for the next two full days I might not see the car until May!!!!!!!

First, this is a "family oriented" forum, and you are using pretty foul language -- the 4-letter "S" word (snow). Second, you validate one of the reasons I moved from NJ to OK. Happy shoveling!! (We're having a cold spell, it's only in the 50's here!)

I had shoveled nice paths to get to the garage after the previous 20 inch snow storm. After the latest blizzard the snow is 3 feet deeper and my paths are gone! Over 3 feet of snow is on my picnic table! Probably won't be seeing the car anytime soon!

When I lived in Maine, I always had a path to the garage and the wood stove fired up. No way that crap was stopping me from what I love.
