The Willomet Charger

I always seem to forget to fill my bottles too before a weekend of Fab.LOL
Awesome Work!!
Thanks man. I think I have just enough to tack everything. I upgraded to 150cu- ft bottles, but the argon still seems to go quickly. Those gas lens cups are great for coverage, but chew up the argon.
Insanely good! Subscribed!
Appreciate it. I’ll look forward to your feedback and input.

From DXF to product in 3 days. Everything is fine fit and tacked and in the chassis.

Lots of weld inches to go.

Amazing fabrication work!
Thanks! Lots of help and coaching from my mentors.

Just a quick update on the shop mascot.

Harriet is healing up nicely, and already wants to get back out and supervise me in the shop.

Soon enough. She has about 8 more weeks of restricted activity.

Lots of welding planned for this weekend.

120A, 100Hz, 60% on, 20% background.

See, now your just showing off, lol!! Very nice stacking.

Finished the engine mounts, and picked up a new bottle of argon so I could start the engine cradle tonight.

Everything is cooling, and I’ll try to tack it all together tomorrow night.

It’s all details.

The footwells are welded and blended. After using regular 70S-2, I followed up with silicon bronze to smooth transitions. I love working with that stuff.

It grinds easily, and doesn’t overwork the base material since it isn’t technically welding.

Fully blended, with a 40 grit DA finish. This all gets covered by a floor panel, so nobody will see it, but I like to practice and enjoy these details.

As well, my design for the engine cradle needed to be revised. Rev1 underway - I will ditch a design that is not working before I make do.

Now, to build the structure between the two.

You’ll also notice that the engine frame mounts are burned in. Final setback is 14”. Packaging my planned headers will be tight, even with this engine’s compact dimensions.

Nice work!

Nice work!
Thank you. Learning a lot on this particular sub-project.
i need to tig

nice work
Go get one! My Everlast cost about $2800 all in, and it does the work of a $5000 Miller machine. Eventually, I'll upgrade to a Dynasty 280, but I can do quite a lot with this machine. TIG has changed my entire way of looking at fab.
fabrication work is looking great! stack those dimes!
Much appreciated!

Here's the Rev1 engine cradle:

It’s ready for the powertrain, but I’m still sorting out the last details to convert my TR6060 to a Magnum.

Art in motion!! Are you doing boost on your Lq4 6.0 or just keeping it N/A? one of the best blocks to start with.
