Had the Sport Satellite for about 15 years now. Mostly doing mechanical upgrades. 318 car, now has 383. Also added disc brakes up front. In august decided, with a little help from family and friends, to paint it. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Looks like a nice solid straight car. Did you fab the piece for under the battery tray or buy it? I need to do something on my 68, not quite as much as yours but would probably buy a piece instead of making one.

Thanks DETMATT1 ! I'm staying with the original color. It has the 2 tone green interior so it should look sharp. It appears it came with a vinyl, so I'm leaving the quarter to roof trim on if I decide to put it on later. I'm thinking it should look nice with the trim on even without a vinyl top.

Thanks 68chicken. I believe its TT1 avocado green. Miss placed my fender tag, but it does look like the darker of the 2 where its not faded.

I know its been awhile since I posted last. Moved the 68 to where I work since its been a little cold lately. I have a wood stove in my garage, but was afraid that heating the car up, then getting it cold would make the bare metal sweat. Don't need any surface rust. Was able to finish the patching around the back glass. Now I'm going to put the trim on for a test fit. Then check the gaps between the trim and the body. Its better to do it now, before its to late!

Got my clips in, thanks to Jeff from 521 Restorations. Believe it or not I had 21 trim clips for my back glass. Here is a shot of the area I replaced.

Looking for some input on lead the factory put in. A guy on youtube says it should be removed or it will get blisters a couple of years after paint. Anyone out there have any thoughts on the subject? Thanks in advance.
