Looks like you all got an interesting place goin' here. Haven't xplored too much yet. Got a 67 Coronet 500. 318 white/black. 318 will be out and 440 in this winter. 440 is from RV. 8 or 8'5 compression. I would like some advice. ?Cam, intake will work best with this low comp number? Have 3.55 rear gear, 850 cfm Holley. Any advice out there?
Cheers
Tom

hi welcome to the site sounds like a nice ride post up photos we love our car **** here :headbang:

Welcome, TomH. Even bone stock, your 440 will be miles ahead of the 318. Get the distributor advance dialed in and see how it goes from there.

Welcome Tom. You probably should start a new thread in the engine forum with these questions. Good luck.

yes or some one will post something like this :worthless_thread::angry5:

welcome to FBBO, Performance 101, a decent camshaft & valve springs etc. to match the usage, a good aluminum 4 bbl intake {dual plane for street use} & properly sized Holley 4bbl carb {vac. sec. if it's an auto}, some decent headers & free flowing dual exhaust, K&N air cleaner/filter element, hotter ignition with a longer spark dwell, hotter coil & Low Ohm resistance plug wires, cylinder heads with smaller combustion chambers {multi angle perf. valve job, bowl & port work too}, to bump up the compression a little.... there's probably easily near at-least 100hp right there, if sourced & installed correctly/properly... There are quite a few threads here on FBBO, about such combos, I suggest you do some searching... good luck have fun
