I'll take what's behind door number 3, Wink!! :rolling:

3 questions for y'all...

1) Sundance...where does the hose on your throttle side go to?

2) anybody have a relatively easy way to clean out all the carbon deposits in the intake without media blasting? She was pig rich for two years while i drove her..:black_eye:

3) i've got an easy one...what does WOT stand for??? :tongueflap:

Thanks guys

#2 I always let them sit in a parts cleaner for a day or two then hose them out with water. I guess you could try any grease cutter then pressure wash it out. A couple of cans of carb. cleaner would take out the worst of the build up...

Whats behind door #3 isn't there anymore  I heard you have her now:tongueflap:

#3 :sSig_wootwoot: Two many O's ?

Here's a couple of pics...not the most glamours i've put up to date, but at least it has a MoPar in it!!! :rolling::rolling:

Door #3 is always the ticket!!!

I have simple green in house, i may try that first and blow dry it with air...see how it turns out. I'm thinkin goin from top to bottom to wash it out.

And yes there is one xtra letter, but the more the merrier!!:banana:
Thanks Sundance!

Oh yeah, BTW, where is the left hose on your carb going to? mines just plugged??

Those manifolds will pick you feet off the ground, leaning over the fender, picking them out of the engine bay! :rolling:

I'll set it on the fender or have someone hand it to me while I sit lightly on the radiator, standing on the framerails, so I can place it carefully down in place so not to disturb the end seals or permatex. I weighed one onetime but I don't remember how much anymore.

:rolling: I don't know what it weighs either...but it's sure a helluva lot!!! I think i need to break out the cherry picker to put it back in!!!

I do have a performer 440 intake, but it's not ready to go on yet...

#1....I have a holley so mine are on the side. But you can just cap the far rite one it's full manifold vac.You want the left vac port it's the timed vac port.

#2 Carb cleaner and a tooth brush.

#3 WOT = Why own Toyota's ;) or it could be Wide open throttle :) ha ha

A stock 6bbl 54.8 lbs and an aluminum one is 22.6 lbs :)

Not to sure about the 4bbl but it's a little lighter i'm sure.

BUMP (cause I lost all of my saved subscriptions somehow :/ )

Yeah, i lost mine a couple days ago too! :(

Anyway, intake back on and clean(er), and ultra black curing...

Taking the carb apart and cleaning it now.

Test and tune sunday!!! :banana::jiggy:

WOT-Why on Toyotas...Classic!!! :rolling:

:jiggy::jiggy::jiggy::jiggy::jiggy: Jiggy Smilies! When did they get them?

Did you order a carb kit for your eddy? Don't tear a gasket! And watch for loose check balls (steal balls, BBs)! Tell me you knew this:grin:

I misspoke - the ported vacuum on the AFB (alum four barrel) is on the choke side of the carb. Ported means you won't have vacuum at idle (or shouldn't) but will just as you open the throttle.

Castrol super clean or the purple soap at home depot should do a good job on the intake. Just don't let that soap sit on aluminum parts too long or it will turn black.

You guys want something to complain about? Try pulling a cast iron intake off a Ford FE engine!!!! Or a cast iron 440 six pack intake :tongueflap:

Now for the real test: Who knows what WCFB stands for? Who knows what it is?

:jiggy: LOVE the jiggy smilies!!!

I am going to try and get the re-build kit today if i can get out of work early enough...i was going to tear apart the carb, but got pulled away as i started...(she couldn't wait i guess, LOL) and I couldn't do test and tune yesterday either. :(

BTW no, i did not know that!!! :black_eye: glad i didn't touch it yet!! (the carb that is!!)

Thanks for the clarification Meep...

Thanks Guys!!!
