I had to replace my 2003 Ram 3500 tow vehicle with Red 2007 3500. My 5.9 diesel seized. The 07 has 6.7. My poor 03 had a tough life. Although not a whole lot of miles (Little over 100k) They were hard miles. (4 trips over Colorado mountains to Vegas towing 32' 14K lb trailer.) To just name a few duties.
I race Mopars thus in case Chrysler happens to be watching? A Ram truck would be prudent. (Although I have not seen any evidence of a Power Stroke or Duramax advantage. In fact, possibly less desirable.) The 2007's life should be less stressful. Though it will have some heavy towing duties. Nothing like in the beginning. I also now have better diesel experience. My 03 motor failure was certainly part owner's fault!
