Each year we hold a Fall Festival sponsored by our Methodist Church.
The big event is a tractor parade where folks bring and drive their favorite family tractor or tractors from all over the area to join in a parade.
This year we had over 125 all shapes sizes, shiny dull, dirty and clean.
We have a variety of kids games a cake wheel (think roulette), chicken barbeque, hamburgers, hot dogs and sausages along with a few vendors.
Great weather and a fun time for the community.

That looks like a great time. I love those old tractors. My neighbor has 1958 Massey Ferguson Model 65 that his Daddy bought new. Still runs great and works the farm.

When I had my place in Wisconsin, bought a 47 Ford 2n so my dad could use in his garden. He had about an acre. He only lived 10 miles from me. Come spring he’d start his garden, we’d also use the dump truck and haul loads of duck manure for his fertilizer. When he was a kid, they plowed with mules, in Mississippi. The joy those gardens brought him was indescribable, and he gave everything away our families didn’t use. I miss my best friend everyday! Thanks for the memories.

Here are a few I took yesterday from the 25th annual festival.
Over a 130 tractors yesterday with perfect weather we had a big crowd for our little hamlet.
The chicken barbeque was awesome and we sold out of hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage and chili.
My wife ran the gift basket raffle with over 50 baskets.
A real community event with tractors from all over the local vicinity.

I had a couple old tractors over the years. The first was a 1956 International 650 Diesel/Utility . It was a wide front with a loader. I got it for a song due to the crankrod bearings being shot. I couldnt find them anywhere, so I found some that were larger and milled them to size and drilled oil journals. No more troubles. Several years later I sold it to a guy who drove it 9 miles home, and is still using it today.
Second one was a wide front Farmall Super C . That was a fun tractor. Never needed anything, liked to be driven. I even had a Speedex mini tractor that my son would work the garden with. We also showed it a a big tractor show where he won a prize for it. He was 9 or 10 and proud as a peacock.
