Trans ID question

Trans ID question...

i have two transmissions the "rebuilt" one has PK3410669L 2966 8299 on the trans pan rail and 3410176-5 up in the middle part of the trans...

the second one (not rebuilt) has H2538334 2962242 on the pan rail.

Anybody have any info on IDing these transmissions?? they were included in a parts dash that the guy wanted to get rid of everything he had, and the price was definitely right for everything!!! :HappyNewYear:

Try running your numbers through Google and see what comes up. I ran your first number (PK3410669L) and found info indicating that it is from a 1970 C body with 440 but didn't go much further in the search. There was also info on decoding some of the other numbers, but I didn't go through them all.

1970 440 4bbl non-hp, assy date 10 Sep 1969, last four are the number of which were produced

H2538334 2962242

1966 361/383, last 7 numbers dont jive.. i think you are missing a number
