Trick for removing glass from exterior mirrors?

On my iPhone and had to get off FBBO to look(?). Mirrorglassplus.com. $19 for my non-remote. Excellent instructions&&NO breakage on arrival.
Looks like they have B bodies covered, but not A's or E's unfortunately.

what i have found is
the oval glass for the mirror is the same thing, just the housings changed
a,e,b and f body
try this number out
burco 2122 about 9 bucks each on amazon.
it is listed for a f body and fits like a glove into my 71 b mirrors
that are almost the same thing as e bodies.

Just checked that out. These sets of mirrors are even different from side to side and neither one will work with the burco 2122.

The one on the right should be the 2122
it matched right up to 71 b
And e body is almost the same mirror housing
I'm not a a body guy so I might be off there
I have never seen that 1st mirror you have

The 2112 is listed for f bodies

Put it in boiling water and the mirror comes off with little effort. At least that's the way I removed a few of them.

gotta turn this thread into a sticky. Too much good info here.

Just left the glass shop. Burco does not make replacements for these. They will cut the out if I make exact templates out of thin cardboard for $30. each. Also learned that all mirror glass does not have a silver backing, but is double sided. I think I will try the boiling water first and then chemicals if that doesn't work. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe acetone, if you don't have any plastic. Don't know what it would do to mirror? Do you have a mirror you can test it on?
