Trump on BamaCare

I may not be a huge fan of Trump but this is exactly what I do like.... complete honest opinion regardless of who it pisses off! I see nothing but truth in what he said.

Yep I've been saying the same thing, not a big Trump fan
"but I do like allot of what he's been saying",
it's merely common sense & logic, even if it's crass/perceived as bloviating narcissism,
certainly he's no DC lifer politician, that's alway covering their own a$$es 2 step nonsense or
the A-typical PC BS, from the other side, that's for damn sure...

I too will vote for Trump. He is a one-race pony, doesn't need the publicity nor status of the office, just sick of seeing OUR country run in the ground. Let him treat it as a business, make the cuts, get the books straight and put the US back on semi-firm ground with a self supporting economy. Reducing all those hand-out programs (here and abroad) will bring the control back into the people that work for a living instead of politicing for a living or milking a system. I myself am getting tired of being the minority...meaning the income side of the equation vs the NON working constituants pandered to by the policy makers they elected. It is tragic that are leaders aren't held accountable for their actions and pathetic to have a congress full of sheep who are apparently illiterate to boot! Our country was founded by hard working people that pulled themselves up by their bootstraps when they got down and offered a hand to others when they could. We should try a little "tough love" as most of our parents practiced on us and let those that fall see how tough life can actually be. If they won't even try to help themselves, they don't deserve the opportunities this country offers. Enough of my rants...back to your regularly scheduled program.

Unfortunately you won't be able to vote for Trump (except maybe as an Independent) because the Republican party will never elect him as their candidate. And it doesn't matter anyway 'cause Hillary will crush any GOP candidate next November. Too many Americans on the dole, no way they're going to vote for a party that threatens to take away their right to collect from the govt.

Lets just hope, the rest of the voting Americans, wake up before the election than...

They also voted in a majority Republican House and Senate (not that it did us any good) so who knows? I think his personality and bluntness might actually be refreshing to some.

A Conservative.
Basic principles
Small government.
STRONG military to protect this country and its citizens
And free enterprise.

You get out of line you get taken down
Everyone respects each other until you prove you don't deserve it
No one is above the law, especially the secretary of state and president

etc.

And quick over taxing the people only to give it to undeserving lazy, good for nothing goof offs!!!!!

My Question is why is this posted in General Discussion? it will only be a matter of time Before a Argument breaks out and Gets moved to Political Forum.

But I like Watching Trump Because he is Bat **** Crazy, and says whatever comes to mind. He has no Filter, He would make a great Comedian.

Thought this was about Trump and Oboma Care. Oboma Care could have been a good program if it would only do what it was meet to do. Provide affordable health care.so far I have not come in contact with anyone it has benefited. Hospitals do not like it my doctor does not like it and I do not like it.for the wife and I for 2015 it cost 12000 for a policy that covered nothing till you put out another 13500 out of pocket deductible. If this is supposed to be affordable we have one dumb *** in the White House. Think of it this way we have a government that thinks minimum wage and a 30 hr work week will pay for heath care,

Think Trump has this all figured out. Do not think the man is stupid by any means. By the way remember putting an actor in the White House, so what would be so strange about a business man.

I know people that Obamacare has benefited. Admittedly not many. They are young people who don't make much (but still work full time or more, and some still are in college) and can't afford any medical coverage otherwise, and they are people who are beyond normal retirement age who never had a company-sponsored pension or retirement plan, who are now just scraping by on whatever they built up themselves (not much) and social security (and what a joke that is).

It's not quite the ideal that it was sold to America as. But it also doesn't seem like the civilization-crushing juggernaut that opponents billed it as. It needs work.. but it could I believe it could work, and I'm a cynic. There is plenty more gov't waste elsewhere (practically everywhere).

Look at the similarities of the two parties and their candidates these days.. it's creepy. They're BOTH for gov't expansion and regulation for one thing. I feel like we're all being duped, and at the same time there are people in congress who are there for LIFE while we dicker about presidents who come and go. Craziness.

I find it strange when I hear about the huge majority of Americans that feel that the country is headed in the wrong direction, THEN I see another report where people still want to vote for a Democrat. Why the hell would anyone think that MORE entitlement programs, a WEAKER military and open borders are good ideas? Really ???
Ever see the low budget movie "Idiocracy"?
I've often wondered if the average person today is more or less intelligent than those from 100 years ago. Sure, there were fewer college educated Americans then but I'll bet that they were more self reliant. They knew how to make-do with less than we have today. I think that while we do have some incredibly talented and intelligent people in this country, the overwhelming majority of us are getting dumber. people let technonolgy and/or the Government think for them and direct their lives.
Quick proof: How many owners of cell phones actually know the numbers of their friends and family? Can you direct dial the number from memory?
The more the BIG Government "helps" people, the less the people will develop critical survival skills. Anyone with an ounce of compassion would understand that we should take care of those that truly need it BUT sane, able bodied citizens need to fend for themselves.

You guys know why I don't like trump...
Are some of his ideas on the right "track" sure, but its him as a man I am not impressed with, the thought of hi being our 'leader" scares me. Maybe because I have hired people that came to me looking for a job, and was ticked by those who used his tactics in the past. I ask "can you do A, B, and C" they reply "I am the best at A, B, and C, I can also do DEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXY and Z", so I say "great your hired", take them out the first day and they can't do sh!t, work slow confused and what they do accomplish is half *** and half wrong... Been working in the field for 15 years but I have guys with 1 year experience that know more and are better. They simply got by to this point with luck and lies floated by the backs of the people around them.
This happens, I have a specific employee I am thinking of, he only lasted 3 days with me, I sent him with my guys they came back and said "NO, hes a nice enough guy, but NO, hes not a tech", so I went out with him the next day and they were right, BUT he had 16 years in the field, and I seen him working for other companies, much larger ones than I was at the time. So I called up one of them I knew the owner of, he told me "he don't know sh!t, he attaches himself to some of the harder workers and just gets by".... Thats trump, started with daddies company, ran that into the ground, then when EVERYONE who was rich was getting richer, he got richer, he is known for being unfair, bullying contractors (IE the working man) and laying all the working men that he deals with to rest. He found a group of guys he could easily take advantage of and exploited it...

So you are a smart business man, raised by a smart business man. You need a building built,
first order of business- get the money to do it from other people, so he LIES to the investors, that is right in his book, he has said it numorous times "I tell them its going to be twice as many sq feet and I can get it done for 1/2 the price", then they are on the "hook" they already gave him half the money, their only option is to lose the other half or give him twice as much to save the half they already gave.... That is lying, no matter how you twist it, AND THE SAME THING HE IS DOING NOW, Telling us he can do this this and that with out costing money, lol...

Next get the guys to do the work- hire the most hungry, uneducated contractors he can find, call it "Hiring the guys who need the work" so you look like you are doing something good, then have them sign contracts they cant understand with lawyers they cant afford, get them to start the job, buy the materials, and then cut them apart, kill them with paperwork, legal fees, etc.. BUT WHAT DOES HE CARE, he has the next batch of contractors ready to come in, he just got the job started, and for less than the materials that are on sight cost!!!!

NOW the last part, TRUMPet what you have accomplished with great fanfare... and he does... He used someone elses money, he layed waste to the working men who did the WORK, and he took all the credit... Is this what the USA needs? Some will say "yah", I can't say it, I think we need some simple things, that there may be no one out there that can get it done, it may be impossible...

WE SIMPLY NEED SMALLER GOVERNMENT, and STOP THE BLEEDING-
simplify tax code, cut the IRS to a fraction of its size, that is an easy one.

Dont be embarrassed to say "SORRY, we can not get involved in international affairs until we are off of our head and back on our feet..."

Health care/mental health care, this is beyond my scope, I would say, put limits on what drug companies can charge for drugs, push "online" medical facilities where people can skype with a doctor and clean up emergency rooms and walk in clinics, spend some money on mental health care (this is a tough one), make it an option for parents to keep their kids on their policies until the are older, TAKE CARE OF OUR VETS, and there is much more that needs to be done here...

Prison reform- this one is easy, cut, cut, cut. 2 meals a day not 3, better bars and less guards, if you are max, dangerous, lifer, repeat offender, etc you go to a facility that you deserve, some where terrible, I would pay mexico and put it in their country, use home confinement more for non dangerous offenders, make punishments MORE HARSH, just so much that needs to be done here... we are one of the only countries that doesnt work our prisoners, but these people to work..

Gun reform- GET RID OF ALL THE LAWS IN PLACE NOW, pass safe keeping laws, responsibility laws (you bought it, it hurt someone, you are on the hook), make illegally being in possession or using a gun in a crime a life sentence, make a gun a HOT potato for criminals, so if you are a felon, have a stolen, gun, use a gun in a crime, you are F#CKED, like, lose your license, 10 years in prison, mandatory, public caning, what ever we have to do to make people run from illegal guns. reinstate a few "restrictions", fully auto, caliber limit, exposives limits, capacity limits, all are things we should have to pay for, similar to how they have it now.. Make ccw easy to obtain but a chore to maintain... I have been around guns my entire life, I have a collection that is worth more than houses I have lived in, I am involved in many clubs, have ccws for many states, and they are a large part of my life, I will be the first to say their should be limits, the guys saing NO limits, are not being realistic... I can talk about this all day, but them are a few of my thoughts on the subject..

education - MORE MONEY, take care of our teachers, take money OUT OF WELFARE and Put it in edumacation'... SIMPLE...

WELFARE- Another easy one, mandatory drug tests ON EVERYONE over the age of 13 collecting benefits, kids collecting HAVE TO BE IN SCHOOL and get passing grades or they will not be paid for, see how many parents watch their kids then. You have kids and they are in school then you have to be working or looking for work.... Time limits make it so welfare is not a career, but the biggest one is- BENEFIT LIMITS, only X amount of time, X AMOUNT of funds, WE only pay for 2 kids and 2 adults MAX, and living on what you get will be TOUGH, I am talking Public transportation, welfare cheese and cereal, good will clothes, etc... You had kids you can not afford, lets make sure your kids see you struggle enough so they do not see this lifestyle as an option.... I go to houses with people on welfare to fix hvac systems, these people have new cars, huge tv's, kids have $100 sneakers on, its stupid... Drive through your local "pj's" parking lot and look at the cars, you will be sick... There is a lot that can be done to cut down welfare now and make it even smaller in the future, because people wont be on it unless they need it!!!!

Energy and infrastructure, put up windmills, dig geothermal, use solar fields, this will create jobs, use prisoners to do the bull work, build the windmills and power plants next door to the prisons, Fix our roads, fix or bridges, fix our grids, it needs to be done...

IMPORTS-, you want an item NOT made in the US by US citizens, its costs more. Pretty simple, cut back on the BS american companies have to deal with and put up some red tape for the imports, you want to make a difference in other countries, we can do it with out sending troops, make it so if you are selling products to the USA, you have to do it our way, you have to pay our minimum wage, you have to have our osha regs and safety guide lines, then you will see the usa companies can get going again, because it will drive up costs for over seas companies to do business, when the shipping and taxes are factored in it will level the playing field...

BIG BUSINESS, there should be NO such thing as a billionaire, its too late now, but letting walmart lay waste to 88% of our small businesses, was a bad idea, now instead of having a handful of people worth 180BILLION$'s, we would have had 500K people worth $360K each, lol... 180,000,000,000 thats 10 zeroes for f#cks sake... OBVIOUSLY these companies are not paying their "fair share" of taxes... I have NO problem paying twice as much in taxes as someone who is making half as much as me, find a median of living, say $100K for a household, if you make 100K annually in your household you pay MINIMAL taxes, say 10%, then 200k, 20 %, then it starts to go much higher, if you are having 1 million dollar years you should have some heavy taxes..
Quick story, one year I worked 2 jobs, may wife was in school half of that year and then worked the other half, we made say $85K between the 2 of us!! We paid about $25K in taxes that year. Now fast forward a bit, I build a condo plex, I built and sold 90% of a 32 unit development, had a phenomenal year with the HVAC, it was the second year of the real estate business which was booming, rentals coming in, just a life changing year, things were happening so fast I couldnt keep up, for round numbers say I made 15 times (PROFIT MIND YOU) what I did when I paid $25K in taxes, BUT HERE IS THE KICKER, I only paid 5 times the taxes from past year!!!! I couldnt believe it, my accountant said "thats how it works"... I COULD NOT BELIEVE THERE WERE SO MANY LOOP HOLES, and it was all easy stuff, reinvest before close of year, buy new machines, wait to sell this property, rush to buy this one, start this company close this one, it was like a tornado in december... That should NOT be the way things work, you make a million dollars in a year, you should be paying $500K in taxes, its pretty easy math, not the rich pay less because they pay more, thats crazy thinking...

But anyway, this post is long enough, I wish us all well, I hope everyone has something to be thankful for this thanksgiving, I think we still have a great country here, but I think its TIME to save it from a future it can not be saved from, if trump is the answer then he will get in. I dont think he is the one to beat hillary, I dont think he will get the gop nom, I think he is aware of this 100% and doing all this for more attention, people say "he dont care about the money, he wont take a pay", obviously he dont care about the pay, lol he is 70 years old, if he lives to 95 thats another 25 years, he would have to spend over a million dollars a day to spend what he has, and that is NOT counting intrest he is collecting, money he is still making, inflation, etc!!!! OVER 1m PER DAY until he is 95 years old!!!!!!!! So why would he care about money, be serious, NOW he wants to be REMEMBERED, ITS NOW ALL ABOUT HIS BRAND, he don't care what happens to anyone else, hes not a faithful person, not a loyal, honest, respectful, or caring person, JUST a RICH ONE, thats it.. BUT, IF I thought he could get in and make a positive difference, I may have voted for him still, I just dont seem him doing anything but making more of a mess...

You guys know why I don't like trump...

Lemme guess; he's long winded, opinionated, successful, well off, and (in his mind) he's always right? Yeah, I can see why a person like that could get under one's skin.

:toothy2:

Why Richard, you seem very insightful(inciteful) today! Love the Avatar! Couldn't stop laughing at 5am.

quiet down RC... There is a difference, I am actually always right :) , and I got to the street I am on with my BACK, and now the backs I use get PAID WELL, TREATED WELL, and APPRECIATED... And I am a regular guy, now that I have "enough" to ensure my family is comfortable, I am done, I do very little now, I am keeping going just to teach my kids and give them the option to take over when they are ready, if they want to go down another road that is fine too, then I will sell everything and just enjoy my family. NOT run for president so more people know my name, lol...

Am I really "long winded", I just have a lot of ideas and want to SHARE them with you guys, my wife stopped listening a year after we were married, and I already told everyone I know a few times............ LOL :)

A striking number of leading mental health experts are concerned enough about the possibility of a Trump presidency that they’re willing to speak out, publicly, about the candidate’s “Textbook narcissistic personality disorder.”

During a recent interview with Vanity Fair, developmental psychologist Howard Gardner, a professor at Harvard Graduate School of Education, referred to Trump as “remarkably narcissistic,” while clinical psychologist Ben Michaelis used the term “Textbook narcissistic personality disorder,” to describe Trump.

Michaelis went on to explain,

“In the field we use clusters of personality disorders. Narcissism is in cluster B, which means it has similarities with histrionic personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, and antisocial personality disorder. There are similarities between them.”

Going on, Michaelis described Trump’s constant belittling of other people as a ‘symptom’ of a deeper problem.

“To degrade people is really part of a cluster-B personality disorder: it’s antisocial and shows a lack of remorse for other people. The way to make it O.K. to attack someone verbally, psychologically, or physically is to lower them. That’s what he’s doing.”

Michaelis expressed his concerns about a Trump presidency, saying,

“He’s applying for the greatest job in the land, the greatest task of which is to serve, but there’s nothing about the man that is service-oriented. He’s only serving himself.”

Indeed, narcissism is characterized with by an exaggerated sense of self-importance, as well as a lack of concern or empathy toward others.

While it was once thought that narcissists were overcompensating for low self-esteem, the latest research suggests that narcissistic personality disorder is defined by a sincere belief that you are superior to others.

According to Psychology Today, “the latest evidence indicates that narcissists are actually secure or grandiose,” not just on a superficial level, but on a subconscious level as well.

A person with narcissistic personality disorder:

Reacts to criticism with anger, shame or humiliation
Takes advantage of others to reach his or her own goals
Exaggerates own importance
Exaggerates achievements and talents
Entertains unrealistic fantasies about success, power, beauty, intelligence or romance
Has unreasonable expectation of favorable treatment
Requires constant attention and positive reinforcement from others
Disregards the feelings of others, lacks empathy
Has obsessive self-interest
Pursues mainly selfish goals
“He’s very easy to diagnose,” psychotherapist Charlotte Prozan told Vanity Fair. “In the first debate, he talked over people and was domineering. He’ll do anything to demean others,” she said.

George Simon, a clinical psychologist who specializes in manipulative personalities, told Vanity Fair that Trump is “so classic that I’m archiving video clips of him to use in workshops because there’s no better example of his characteristics.” He went on to say that without Trump, he “would have had to hire actors and write vignettes,” to illustrate the narcissistic personality disorder for his students. He described the candidate as “a dream come true,” at least from the perspective of having a boatload of free material to use during student lectures.

Licensed clinical social worker Wendy Terrie Behary pointed out that narcissists often have a deliberately distorted interpretation of reality.

She explained;

“Narcissists are not necessarily liars, but they are notoriously uncomfortable with the truth. The truth means the potential to feel ashamed. If all they have to show the world as a source of feeling acceptable is their success and performance, be it in business or sports or celebrity, then the risk of people seeing them fail or squander their success is so difficult to their self-esteem that they feel ashamed. We call it the narcissistic injury. They’re uncomfortable with their own limitations. It’s not that they’re cut out to lie, it’s just that they can’t handle what’s real.”

So, what do they suggest we get? Someone who isn't sure of themselves or their capabilities? Someone who's riddled with self-doubt and can never make a decision out of fear they'll make the wrong one?

I suspect most all of the great leaders we've had fall into the category described by this doctor. If they didn't, they would have never accepted the job.

And this is what's at the core of the problem. Where do we draw the line with helping others? It's always been a fact of life, and always will be a fact of life, that some folks are gonna get screwed. It sucks for them, but that's just the way it is. So where do we draw the line in screwing the many to avoid screwing the few?

Worse, as we saw when Vermont tried to enact universal healthcare for children, they couldn't get above 97% participation. Why? Because even for their kids, there's still 3-5% of the population that just doesn't give a damn. They won't go to the trouble of getting insurance even if it's free! So pull them out of the 7% magic number the administration throws around, and we're screwing over the 93% of the population to help the 2-4% who want and need help. A very noble gesture, but is it fair, especially when you factor in the premiums and deductibles that limit the coverage?

Some people just don't like seeing their reflection in the mirror. They waste more time talking about others they know nothing about in an attempt to make themselves feel better about their shortcomings. You can't always tell how un-important someone thinks another person is by the amount of time they spend trying to convince you how un-important they are.
