Opinion? Looks a bit crusty if you examine the details in the pics. The license plate expired in 2020 also?
You asked....

Not only is the engine bay painted black, but all the bolt on components are spray bombed as well. Heater core is not hooked up.

Was also mentioned that it's not a show car. Just wondering if that's way too much money. That is a clone from a Sebring Plus. He bought it as you see it as a driver. His head it four years.

For posterity:

Biggest thing on these old cars is how much rust they have/had. I would want to see a bunch on underneath pics before making a trip to look at it in person.

Cloned? It's more like a sloppily assembled Frankenstein's monster. Interesting? Not $16,500 interesting. Not $6,500 interesting either. I wouldn't buy it for myself using your money.

BTW, I like the '71/'72 models.

It`s a Satellite, quickie paint job, spray can engine bay, hacked hood, but if it runs and drives good and body is really solid and not full of filler it might be a decent deal at that price.

The dual concentric throttle return spring is missing. I only see one spring. Easy to remedy, but the rest of the car will nickel-and-dime the next owner into the poor house.

Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see any kickdown/modulator linkage?
If you look at the interior pic, it looks like a b&m quarter stick shifter in it, so I'm assuming it has a manual valve body possibly

I love the hemi orange tie wrap

You'll have to get your best buddy to hold open the air grabber while driving. Tell him not to block the air flow.

Verify the "426 wedge". Those aren't too common, but someone calling another engine (like a 413) a 426 is pretty common.

Check the cowl. Check the cowl. Check the cowl.

Check the rear wheel arches and the rear window corners.

If that's a "real" N96 hood, it's worth something.
If it's the glue on ebay hood, it's not worth the $500 ebay price IMO.

If it's a relatively rust free 400 4 barrel car- 16.5 might not be a bad deal in today's market.
