A couple pics to show the clearance. These are Dougs big tube headers. My plan is some insulating wrap on that line once the motor is ready to go in the car.

Hello!
Today we checked fitment of the Headers with the oilline from the pan.
No chance with this.
I do not want to ding this header as much as nescessary.
I bought this 1 7/8 headers about 8 years ago new.
What to do with ist?
Rewelding the pipe?
Thanks for help!

See if you can get some heat wrap on that tube. It will slow down some of the exhaust heat transfer into that fitting. Also put some high temp antisieze on that fitting. With the heat, aluminum hose end, irridated steel bung on the pan, you have an unholy trinity waiting to happen for a seized/stuck fitting down the road.
Good deal. When I got my TTI'S, I made sure they were bare steel as I figured, correctly, that there would need to be some bumping/grinding/moving etc needed. Since my project is a 65 with 70 k-frame with Schumacher Hemi, block has Hemi bosses, to regular v8 k unit I would be dreaming to assume all would clear perfectly.
