My TUKVAN, is a 77 B200 camper van. 318, 727, Dana 60.
Got it about 3 years ago from a friend. Reasonable price, free, another friend loaded it on a trailer and delivered to my place. $100. I towed it in to my drive with my 41 Ford 9N tractor.
First winter, I fixed the interior, and made it drivable. Went to the Arctic Ocean for a test. Many miles of beat the crap out of it gravel road. Do not go there in anything worth anything.
Second winter, fixed a bunch of other stuff. Like a fuel gauge, vent hose, new hanger pieces, extra leaf spring, key for the doors. Then we went to Yellowstone and Bonneville, and other places.
Third winter. Cut off the overhanging nose of the roof, top part. Removed the engine and gearbox. Installed pieces of a 10288 shift kit in the 727. Now getting tne 318 ready for a bunch of new bits.
Doug in Michigan has been giving me advice on this. Swell guy. That is the currant situation. We have been planning a trip down the West coast. Stay tuned for that.

Arctic Ocean. Motorcycle is on the back. Lower panel, about 12 inches, in front of the rear wheel has been replaced. Rear end sits about an inch higher now with one more leaf in the springs. Have four new shocks to bolt on. Part sticking out up high above front window, has gone. Better air stream now.
Just thunked. Also changed to heavier capacity tyres.

Ah, you stayed in Canada. The wife and I drove to dead horse Alaska (prudhoe bay) in ‘08. Alaska has a cool sign at the arctic circle for a photo op.

Update.
318 has a bunch of new bits inside. Test runs to date, everything is working. Happy so far with the 727 shifting, and more power from the 318. We leave next week for West Coast BC destinations. Shirley’s kayak is now on the outside above the doors. Motorcycle is on the back again. Was too far to walk to the pub on the test run trip. I will also make a rack to carry light weight stuff up high on the back. We have an extra 100 watts of solar power.

I was not looking for a camper van. I had bought a 007 Chev with a V6. Light weight half ton. Was looking for a light weight camper, or possibly a trailer, not too big. The trailer is a problem on long gravel roads. Was having trouble finding either, at a reasonable price, and then I found the van, at my price.

Was just looking at the prices fetched for these vans. Good ones about $20,000, and they are not camper vans. They mostly have fancy paint jobs.

On next winters list: Rewyre all the original electrical. New rubber, doors and windows. New front window, and then maybe a paint job, staying with the original ugly colours.

Got to replace all the brake lines too.
