Turn signal switch 11 wire vs 8 wire

This is out of my 72 satellite. Some of the aftermarket switches only have one 8 wire harness. Mine has an 8 wire and a 3wire. Anyone know what the difference is?

Yep, that's a c-body switch, the extra connector is for cornering lamps. It's not the original switch for a '72 Sat, has been replaced previously, disregard the extra connector. BTW, stay away from the aftermarket/repo switches, they are junk.
